Join the Nature Approved action
For all its rallies NPO will offset the production of pollutants emission by all vehicles used: cars, trucks, ULM, planes, helicopters, generators ...
A symbol « Nature Approved » will remind the commitment on each vehicle.
Compensation will be calculated on the basis of real consumption of fuel and the impact of tires and lubricants recycling.
In 2009, NPO commit oneself to offset its emissions to 200%!
NPO wishes each participant to become aware of these issues and the need for an eco-responsible, personally endorsing the same approach.
You are invited to offset your emissions, according to the same scale as the vehicles of organization. The vehicles will be recognizable by the symbol « Nature Approved ».
NPO, in partnership with the Association MADDA, will finance a program of planting trees to fight against erosion and desertification.

In 2009, the winner of each category will receive a cup and a bonus of arrival from 2000 to € 4000 valid on the upcoming events of NPO.

Important information concerning the Rates !
In this period of uncertainty, "crisis", choice ..., NPO decided to restore the smile to the competitors ans Assistance Team by maintaining the preferential rates!
Other good news for Assistance :
The new partnership between NPO and the CTN boats, can offer negociates rates for trucks assistance.
If the vehicle is more than 2.50 meters high: the extra cost for the boat passage (round trip), is 500€ per linear meter instead of 500€).
A saving of 2 500€ for a vehicle of 10 meters!
As reminder:
- Rates for an assistance 4X4 vehicle or a truck: 3 500€
- If the vehicle is more than 1.90 meters high: the extra cost for the boat (round trip) is 350€
- And now, if the vehicle is more than 2.50 meters high: the extra cost for the boat passage (round trip), is 500€ per linear meter instead of 750€).

The edition 2009 will be open to amateurs and professionals.
Second leg of the of FIA World Cup for Cross-country Rallies (CAR),
Second leg of the of FIM World Championship for Cross-country Rallies (BIKE / QUAD),
The rally of Tunisia 2009 is accessible to everybody with the Class Open (light preparation budget) for Cars and trucks ;
and the category Enduro Cup (Bike and quad in original configuration, with Fuel supply every 90 kms).
A “magical” route with 11 first-time African stages !
For the 2009 Tunisia OiLibya Rally, competitors meet in Marseille to load their vehicles on board ship. Administrative checks will start in the ship and technical checks will take place in Tunis, “on the seaside”.
The OiLibya Rally will set off after a huge celebration in Tunis with a super-special stage on the beach. Competitors will then head for the desert, facing 6 further stages in Tunisia and 4 in Libya!
There will be very few link routes: 6 stages will set off and arrive from camp to camp, without ever seeing tarmac.
This 2009 rally is a demanding event but will remain accessible to all. In case of missed waypoints or mechanical problems, time penalties will be levied but no competitors will be dismissed from the race. Every competitor can set off again the next morning: the OiLibya rally is still a 100% pleasure Rally-Raid! In case of abandonment, motorbikes will be transported by NPO back to Tunis and riders who wish will be carried free of charge from camp to camp to follow the end of the rally.
In Libya a marathon stage of 850km over 2 days is planned, with a drivers’ camp without assistance staff or motorbike trunks. Course management will be essential for both professionals and amateurs alike. The reward is a 100% off-road track through the dunes of the Ouari erg, with the discovery of 5 lakes surrounded by dunes. Sand, from morning to night … as far as the eye can see!
Meanwhile, assistance vehicles will have a “reserved” camp where everyone will be kept informed of race events. Note that the daily routes taken by assistance vehicles have been considerably limited and take only tarred roads.
